Friends of Busbridge CE Junior School
The school has a thriving and invaluable Parent Teacher Association known as the Friends of Busbridge Junior School (BJS) of which all the parents at the school are automatically members. The Friends of BJS is a voluntary charitable organisation made up of an elected committee. The Friends organise numerous events throughout the year such as Fireworks, the Christmas Fair, a Quiz Night, a School Disco and the Summer BBQ which combine fundraising with opportunities to socialise with other parents and the wider community. Parents are encouraged to come to meetings but there is no obligation to take on a committee role. The Friends PTA are always looking for fresh ideas and the opportunity to introduce new events into their calendar.
Next meeting for the Friends of Busbridge Junior School is on Monday 16th October 2017 from 7.30pm  -all welcome to come along.

Much of the co-ordination for the Friends of BJS is done through class representatives. There are 2 class reps for each class who help to keep in touch with parents and ask for help with events through the year.

Phil the Bag - Wednesday 18th October for collection Thursday 19th October
This is a regular fundraiser and is an easy way to raise funds. If you are clearing out fill a bag or two and drop it into school when we have our termly collections. The next collection will be on Thursday 19th October so please drop donated items in bags at pick up time by the bike shed on Wednesday 18th October. The items that are accepted are as follows:
Adult and children's clothing, including school uniform, are accepted along with hats, shoes, belts, handbags and household textiles including sheets, pillow cases, duvet covers, curtains and towels. Items not accepted include blankets, bric-abrac, duvets, pillows, sleeping bags, rugs, carpet, fabric offcuts, wet items, tent canvases or ripped or stained clothing. Also please no towels, bedding and curtains from commercial organisations, for example hospitals, hotels or animal sanctuaries.
